Caregiver

We are seeking candidates for a part-time Caregiver role.

An excellent opportunity for a punctual, reliable, positive, and empathetic Health Care Assistant / Caregiver to join The Redwood Club providing a stimulating and enjoyable daytime programme for the older person.

• Part-time or casual – ongoing – supportive, friendly environment

• Aged care experience preferable or we can support your training

• Tawa, Wellington location – April start

This role would suit candidates with previous experience having worked in aged care, or the willingness to complete training. If you are positive, caring, and empathetic, this is the role for you.

In order to be successful in this role you must:

• Have relevant aged care experience or you are willing to be trained

• Be reliable and have the ability to communicate effectively

• Have empathy with the elderly and their families

• Be flexible, professional, and have a cheerful outlook

• Have an exceptional work ethic

• Knowledge of Te Reo Māori and/or a Pacifica language would be an advantage

• Have a full drivers’ licence and the ability to drive an automatic 12-seater van is required.  Training is available.
