Gateway Co-Ordinator Role

We are looking for a Gateway coordinator. This role involves coordinating the smooth operation of the programme while balancing strong relationships between the College, students and employers.
The Gateway programme provides senior students opportunities to access quality structured workplace learning that is integrated with school-based learning. The programme seeks to strengthen pathways for further education and training or employment. You will be responsible for developing and administering the programme.
The ideal candidate will have:
●Excellent verbal and written communication skills and will have the ability to approach new employers for placements
●Desire to work with, and relate, to secondary students
●Organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks, including monitoring and following up with essential administration tasks
●Ability to run with ideas, be flexible and work with minimal supervision
●Have excellent attention to detail and excellent general administration skills
●Be competent in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google suite along with the ability to learn new programmes quickly
●You may have had past experience in recruitment or employment adviser roles. This is not essential but useful.
Successful candidates must:
●Hold a current full drivers licence and have a car,
●Successfully undergo a police vetting process.
The position is covered by the Support Staff in Schools Collective Employment Agreement. Pay rate will depend on skills and experience. Tenure will be fixed term and dependent on funding each year. Hours are 25 - 30 per week during term time only, typically during school hours.
