Aspen Landscapes is looking for a motivated Skilled Landscape Construction Labourer to join our construction team in 2026. If you have a great attitude, enjoy working in a team, and want to grow your skills in landscaping and construction, we’d love to hear from you.


Position Details:


  • Hours: 44 hours per week* (weekend and away work available)

  • Monday to Thursday: 7:30am – 5:00pm

  • Friday: 7:30am – 4:00pm

  • Competitive hourly rate + 3% KiwiSaver

  • Tools, uniform, PPE, and work boot allowance provided

  • Sociable, fun, and positive workplace where teamwork and a great attitude are highly valued.


*May be higher when completing work away.


Key Responsibilities: In this role, you’ll work alongside experienced landscapers on high-end residential and commercial projects.  Your tasks will be varied and may include:


  • General labouring and site preparation

  • Supporting hard landscaping tasks such as retaining, decking, paving, concrete work, fencing, and site set-outs

  • Large-scale planting projects and softscape installations

  • Assisting with irrigation, turf prep, and garden builds

  • Helping maintain safe, tidy, well-organised work sites

  • Following instructions from senior staff and contributing positively to the team


Travel for Projects: Be available to work on out-of-town projects as required. Some upcoming jobs will involve being away for up to two weeks at a time. All accommodation, travel, and food costs are covered by Aspen.


The Ideal Candidate: We’re looking for someone reliable, hardworking, and eager to learn. This role is a great opportunity for someone ready to step up, acting as a bridge between an assistant and a team lead. You’ll have the chance to take on more responsibility over time, including running smaller projects independently.


You will ideally have:


  • A good level of fitness and a strong can-do attitude

  • A full, clean driver's licence (ability to drive a manual is preferred)

  • Experience using power tools and working in the landscaping/building industry

  • Good communication skills - punctual, polite, and customer-focused

  • Pride in your work and the ability to represent the Aspen brand professionally

  • A tidy, organised, and proactive working style

  • The ability to listen, learn quickly, and take instructions well
