Workplace Learning Advisors are responsible for ensuring that the learning and development needs of the BCITO field staff are identified and met. They provide and oversee the internal moderation system, assuring the consistency of assessment conditions and outcomes across all programmes offered by the BCITO.


Key responsibilities:


Assist the Learning & Development Manager and Practice Leads with developing, planning, and delivering the BCITO's training initiatives, as per the yearly Business Plan

Identify and develop new learning opportunities (in consultation with the Practice Lead)

Provide internal moderation, quality systems for BCITO (in consultation with the Practice Lead and BCITO employees)

Increase the level of understanding and commitment to internal moderation and quality assurance requirements

Actively promote quality assurance across the organisation

Understands and is able to deliver training to adult learners

Practical training and assessment experience

A qualification in adult teaching and learning (or be willing to complete a recognised adult education or equivalent educational training at Level 5, within 12 months of appointment to this position)

Qualified in Unit Standard 4098 (or be willing to complete this unit standard within six months of appointment to this position)

Passion for the Building & Construction industry

Able to travel regularly within New Zealand to meet stakeholder and business needs
