General Team Member (Tawa)

Orange Sky operate a free, mobile laundry and shower service each week for anyone who needs it in the Tawa community.

Our mission is to positively connect communities through genuine, non-judgmental conversation whilst providing this basic, practical service.

As an Orange Sky General Volunteer, you will be part of the team that reliably runs the Tawa shift each week. This includes such tasks as driving the van to and from the shift (non-mandatory), setting up for the shift (putting out chairs, table and board games; connecting hoses to water and waste), loading and unloading washers and dryers, and most importantly, providing a welcoming environment for anyone who wants to connect with our services or just stop by for a chat.

The shift time is 10.30 am – 1.00 pm each Tuesday near the Tawa Community Centre. We prefer applicants to be able to commit to at least one shift per fortnight (on average).
