He kōrero mō te tūranga | The Role
We're looking for a compassionate Navigator to join our team and support tangata whaiora on their journey toward independence and wellbeing. You'll help people reconnect, grow, and build the skills to live life on their own terms.
This is a rewarding role where you'll make a genuine impact while also growing and developing yourself.
We have one full-time role based in Tawa, working 8am-8pm, Monday to Sunday. If you're passionate about people and community, we'd love to hear from you.
Your duties will include but are not limited to:
Provide hands-on, wrap-around support to tangata whaiora in the community, helping them reconnect with people and natural supports.
Support individuals with the tools and confidence to take charge of their own journey, supporting, not doing for them.
Meet with whaiora at home or in the community to create personalised plans, set goals, and link them to housing, health, education, or financial supports.
Work closely with whānau, services, and partners to coordinate support, advocate, and help remove barriers to success.
Help people build sustainable systems that support long-term wellbeing and independence.

To be successful in this role, you'll ideally have the following:
A Level 4 (or higher) qualification in Mental Health and Addiction or be working towards one.
Strong communication and computer skills, a 'can-do' attitude and be able to demonstrate strong personal and professional boundaries.
Eligibility to work in New Zealand.
A current full driver's licence.
