About the role


Creative Curtains Tawa is seeking an experienced, motivated, and customer-focused Showroom Manager to lead our Tawa, Wellington showroom. This full-time role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the showroom, delivering an exceptional customer experience, and driving sales performance for our premium home furnishings business.


As Showroom Manager, you will lead by example on the showroom floor, combining hands-on customer engagement with operational excellence and team leadership.


What you’ll be doing


  • Managing the daily operations of the showroom to ensure a welcoming, professional, and high-performing environment

  • Providing expert advice and guidance to customers on curtains, blinds, and home décor solutions

  • Leading customer consultations, including product selection, measurements, and design guidance

  • Driving sales performance by meeting and exceeding showroom sales and revenue targets

  • Coaching, supporting, and motivating team members to deliver outstanding customer service

  • Maintaining exceptional product knowledge and staying up to date with industry trends and new products

  • Ensuring showroom presentation, visual merchandising, and stock levels are maintained to a high standard

  • Building strong, long-lasting relationships with customers and the local community


What we’re looking for


  • Proven experience in retail leadership or showroom management, ideally within home furnishings or a design-led environment

  • Strong sales capability with a track record of achieving and exceeding targets

  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to deliver personalised solutions

  • Confident leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a team

  • Creative flair and an eye for design, with the ability to translate customer preferences into tailored solutions

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends, to support showroom operations
